We know that IAF conducts the exam of AFCAT & EKT twice in a year. First in Month of June and Second in month of December.

This syllabus is set by indian air force (IAF).
AFCAT Selection process : AFCAT Syllabus & Exam pattern 2021 –
Afcat’s recruitment process is completed in 4 stages or 4 sections – Described bellow
1. AFCAT Online exam (for all candidates)
2. EKT (Engineering knowledge test) – For only technical condidates
3. Interview / AFSB Interview
4. Medical examination.
Then condidate Being selected. And will be posted for various posts in all over India.

AFCAT Exam pattern : AFCAT exam pattern 2021 –
◆ AFCAT Exam will be in online mode and Objective type Questions asked in this examination.
Means each questions have multiple options. Condidates had to Choose one of them the correct answer.
◆ AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) online exam is only for non technical candidates.
◆ afcat exam covers following sections –
1. Verbal Ability
2. General Awareness.
3. Reasoning
4. Numerical Ability and Military Aptitude Test.
◆ Examination will be only in English Medium.
◆ Total 100 Questions of 300 marks will be asked in AFCAT Examination. Means each questions will be 3 marker.
◆ For this exam (100 questions) 2 hour time is given.
EKT Exam pattern 2021 :
◆ EKT (Engineering knowledge test) is a test for engineer knowledge. This is only for technical candidates , who opt for Ground duty technical branch.
◆ in this exam/test 50 questions of 150 marks is asked that’s for 45 minutes are given.
◆ This exam will cover following portions/Sections
Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical & Electronics.
Important notice
◆ Each correct answer will carry 3 marks.
◆ For wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted by negative marking system. Means 0.33% negative marking is .
◆ If condidate choose 2 options of a question. Then that will be considered as wrong ans and will be deducted 1 marks.
◆ The Condidate , who will be in under cut off , Considered as qualified and will be go in next process (AFSB interview).
AFSB Interview :
◆ Indian Air force conducts AFSB Interview. Air force Selection Board will interview candidates.
◆ This interview divided in 3 stages .
★ In first stage : This comprises the OIR – Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with PP&DT – Picture Perception and discussion test.
– Candidates who qualify the screening test of stage (I) are subject to document verification and eligibility check for the branches they have applied to.
★ In second stage : Selection board will take Psychological test and Group Test & Interview.
★ In third stage : This test is for Flying Branch. It consists of a test called the Computerised Pilot Selection System – CPSS.
– This is a once in a lifetime test. Those who fail in this test are not eligible for Flying Training at all.
Medical examination :
After these processes the condidate , who secure minimum marks in AFCAT Exam and AFSB interview separately , will be called for medical examination.
After qualifying medical exam the condidate will be considered as a selected condidate.
